Barn Board Porch Mural

This mural with a Trompe L’oeil wood surface is painted on the porch of my own home.  For more than 25 years these walls were just a slightly textured, ugly brown, metal surface.   Then ten years ago I decided to paint it!  Thank you to my sister-in-law for suggesting the faux barn board wood surface.  On the wall which is viewed directly from inside my dining room, I painted rambling wild Roses that ‘bloom’ all year long!  On one of the sides I created a strawberry jar loaded with luscious berries.  There are bees that visit the flowers and a butterfly by the strawberries.  On  the other side is a squirrel which initially even startled my cats.  They have ignored it ever since!  In the winter I hang baskets of artificial green plants to keep a little summertime always just on the other side of the sliding door.

Morning Glory Box

Morning Glories on a nice wood box!   Five sides are painted with intense Blue Heaven Morning Glories on this nicely crafted wooden box.   A fat bumble bee visits on the top and there is a little lady bug on a stem and a dragon fly underneath by my signature.  Yes it opens and closes securely, almost secretly! Keep something special hidden inside.  The box is 5″ tall and 4 1/2 ” squarish.  For sale for $55 plus shipping and handling.  Please contact me through this site if you are interested.

Pansies on a Wooden Bucket

This hand painted wooden pot is 5″ tall and can hold anything you want like a 5″ plant, or your colored pencils (not included), or pretty hand towels in the guest bathroom, or utensils and napkins on the dinner table. I had such fun painting a wide range of flowers on it. There are a dozen varieties of Pansies among the 16 hand painted blossoms, plus several buds, fading flowers, leaves, seed pods and one burst open seed pod. I painted a lovely fat honey bee and a lady bug. Pansies are very special flowers! Not only do they have a multitude of faces and colors but they are very happy in the cold! I set them on the front stoop while snow is still melting! Yay Spring!! Contact me through this site if you are interested in purchasing this item for $50 including shipping and handling within the United States. I will include a small plastic liner so that you may use it as a jardiniere if desired.
