This lush fuchsia colored Rose is a just barely opened blossom painted in sharp focus against a diffused green background. The inspiration for this painting is a photo I took this past spring in the Rose Garden in Elizabeth Park, Hartford, CT. The purple butterfly is an ‘enhanced’ Common Blue. The small plaque is only 9″ X 7″ but comes on strong! It is available for sale at $80 including shipping. Please contact me through this site if you are interested in purchasing it.

Magnolia Plaque
I painted this Magnolia based on a photo I took in Seattle. The blossom is just a little past perfection which makes it vulnerable and real. The butterfly in flight comes from a photograph I took at the Magic Wings, a butterfly conservatory in Massachusetts. The wooden plaque is 8 1/2″ X 6 3/4″ and is for sale at $80 including shipping .
Tiger Lily Plaque
Bright orange Tiger Lilies are painted in sharp focus against a clear blue sky! I based this latest painting on a photo I took on the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts over ten years ago. Notice the last image which shows the flowers before I added their spots. I almost stopped painting there, but I am glad I continued. Yes there is a bug. Can you find it? The small plaque is only 9″ X 7″ but delivers a great punch! This particular plaque has been sold, but if you are interested in commissioning something similar, please contact me through this site.
Watching her Owner Cat Portrait
This is Avis. She is resting on a dining room chair, completely focused on her owner. I painted her portrait on a stone which is approximately 8″ X 5″ oval.
