I painted three types of Orchids on this metal watering can for an Orchid lover. Orchids can present an artist with tough details and all three varieties here had their own unique challenges! I loved it!! There also is a Malachite butterfly, a small Honey bee and four ladybugs on this piece.
Orchids are an intense flower and I painted this close up image to emphasize that. Deep fuchsia pink and red flowers stand out on the grey background. A white Tree Nymph Butterfly is my signature insect for this piece. The small plaque is 8 1/2″ X 6 3/4″ with an antique gold edging. It is ready for hanging with a hook on the back.
