Small but stunning! This Magnolia is painted in sharp focus in fluid acrylics. In this design the blossom is just a little past perfection which makes it vulnerable and real. My signature bug is a Ladybug on one of the four fully painted sides. The Canvas is 6″ X 6″ X 1″ and is ready for hanging with a hook on the back. I painted this Magnolia based on a photo I took in Seattle. The blossom is just a little past perfection which makes it vulnerable and real. The butterfly in flight comes from a photograph I took at the Magic Wings, a butterfly conservatory in Massachusetts. The wooden plaque is 8 1/2″ X 6 3/4″ and is for sale at $80 including shipping .

The life size Magnolias painted on this side table look real enough to inhale their delicate aroma! It looks as if you could just stroke the petals and feel the leathery character of the blossoms. This small pale pink table was my first time experimenting with a diffuse background to suggest a distant backdrop. The art is only about a foot square. The table was purchased new from an unpainted furniture store. This piece is one of my all time favorites.
