This wooden file box with red and yellow roses is the third in a series of commissioned boxes. I painted the box to look like it was made of stone. The insect is my version of a Japanese beetle.

Clematis Rocking Chair
This sturdy old wooden rocking chair was painted a pale, pale green and then transformed into a canvas for charming, delicate Cosmos. There are flowers in all stages of life, and a variety of insects scattered throughout the flora! I gently speckled the surface and chose a cool palette of greens, purples and blues. Details are painted even in the hard to see places!
