This wooden box (8″X 6″ X3″) was a commission for a Margarita lover, especially of the Watermelon variety. I really enjoy painting fruit!

Hogwarts Treasure Chest Box
This Hogwart’s treasure chest was painted to hold handmade crocheted Harry Potter figurines. It was a lovely combined effort between myself and another artist! I painted faux finishes all around with “leather” straps and brass rivets, edgings and protective corners. I tried to make the inside look like old trunks used to! It is about 12 “X 7″X4 “.
Retirement Tribute Chair
I painted this vintage University-style chair in the school colors of Roger Williams University. The commissioned piece was a tribute to a well loved supervisor who was retiring. I included all sorts of insider jokes and messages, even under the seat. The center Time Out sign was painted in two versions. Which do you like better?
Ballroom Box
This 6″ diameter wooden box was painted for a ballroom enthusiast. I painted a color portrait of the couple on the top and four black and grey silhouettes on the sides. Since the signature couple for this commission are usually dressed in black dance attire, I used the chandeliers and the background colors of a favorite ballroom locale to make the box glow. Doing the ladies in charcoal grey helps to define the two figures.
