Contemporary House Portrait

This contemporary home has lots of interesting architectural details like multiple roof lines,  a variety of ‘wings’, beautiful landscaping and charming garden ornaments.  Do you see the antique bicycles and the stone dog?  I worked with the client to select a view that said ‘Come on in for a visit!”   It is  painted in acrylics on a smooth surface  24″ X 12″ clay-board.  Also see my painting of the rear view of this home in the post dated 09/14/2015.

Holiday Stocking with Robots

This Holiday stocking is for baby August.  Isn’t he cute?  Doing a robot theme was way more fun than I even imagined!  This stocking is for the brother of the Dinosaur Stocking I posted over a year ago. Click below on the tag ‘dinosaur’ to see that set pf stockings.   I think I this one fits very well with the rest of the family’s.  Thanks to my youngest son for coming up with the concept!

Game Table Insert

A Monopoly game board is actually very pretty, and so is a Scrabble board!  I painted both sides of a 22″ X 22″ piece of wood which was custom cut by the client to fit a table that originally came with a two sided insert of chess board/Backgammon designs .  I simplified the two games as far as I could without affecting the play of the games.  I added a little visual texture to the flat colors that are in the commercial designs, giving my version something special.

Havanese Dog Stone

This cute dog is a portrait of a breed called Havanese.  I painted him on a stone which is about 6″ at it’s widest .   I tried to capture his personality as well as the texture of his lush fur.   His front paws are tucked under his chest and his tail and one paw are on the back.

Do you have a favorite pet that you would like represented on a  stone?  Send me nice clear photos of face and body!
