In the midst of the Corvid-10 social distancing I had trouble getting my ‘engines’ started on a new painting. Then I came across a photo I had taken last summer and my inspiration came roaring back. I painted this pale blue Hydrangea just as it was about to burst open to full bloom. I love the delicateness I was able to achieve with the life size petals. I painted the visiting bee with a softer focus to capture his motion in flight. The small plaque is only 9″ X 7″ and is edged in shades of antique gold. It is available for sale at $95. Please contact me through this site if you are interested in purchasing it.
