This painting was a commission for an insert on a vintage coffee-table.  The client provided  all the inspirational stones,  the shell, the delicate tiny horseshoe crab, and the wonderful piece of driftwood, as well as the unpainted wood insert.  The request was for green marble with subtle markings.  I do enjoy painting all the various textures!
