This was a very unusual table!  The clients arrived with both the table and a real dog, asking me to transform their table to look like  their Visla breed dog.  In addition to changing the solid black sculpted base into the golden brown hues of their dog, I also painted the top and the base to look like rich, black marble.  Of course the undersides are also painted like marble to support the illusion that it is real stone!  (I’ve included a photo of what the table arrived looking like).
