Photo Spread in Rocks and Minerals Magazine

I am so proud to announce a three page spread of my artwork in a national publication: the September/October 2016 issue of Rocks and Minerals Magazine.  More than a year ago I was contacted by the editors of this gorgeous magazine asking if they could showcase my work in their regular feature of artists whose art focuses on rocks and minerals.  I was over the moon at the idea and am blown away with the results!  Thank you to this wonderful publication and a special thanks to Susan Robinson for all her help in facilitating the process.

Stones and Feathers on a Bench

This charcoal-black single-seater bench is painted in Trompe L’oeil style with a collection of stones, slate, mica and natural crystal scattered on top.   The bowl and the turtle are carved from stone as well.  For a little something organic I painted two feathers and an autumn leaf.  Of course there is a little lady bug, can you find it?  If you are interested in having me paint something similar to this piece please send me an email or leave a comment.
