This unique table was such a fun commission!\u00a0 It is painted on a vintage table in fluid acrylics.\u00a0 The family\u00a0 for whom I painted it, shared many favorite books together, 14 of which are represented here.\u00a0 They requested I paint\u00a0 several iconic items in Trompe L’oeil, scattered on the table as if they had been ‘left’\u00a0 by visits from beloved characters . (See how many you recognize before you read further).<\/p>\n
There is a wand from Harry Potter,<\/em> hair ribbons from The Little House on the Prairie,<\/em> a Mocking Jay pin from the Hunger Games, <\/em>Percy Jackson’<\/em>s pen, and a needle and thread from the Quiltmaker’s Gift.\u00a0 There is Turkish Delight candy from The Witch the Lion and the Wardrobe<\/em>, berries from\u00a0 Blueberries For Sal<\/em>, and heavily buttered toast from the Mercy Watson<\/em> books.
